I’m pretty sure human beings haven’t been to Saturn’s moon, Iapetus. Not unless NASA is involved in some huge cover-up and conspiracy. Or even a practical joke, maybe.

Why am I “pretty sure”? First, the evidence. Or complete lack thereof. Second, the plausibility. At this point in time, it’s just not very plausible that it has happened.

While I am skeptical of human beings having been to Iapetus, I am not skeptical of our kind having stepped on the Earth’s own moon. Why? The evidence. The plausibility.

Speaking of skepticism, the most recent episode of Skeptics’ Circle has been posted over at The Digital Cuttlefish.
